We are merely kidding comparing Dr Banderet to Dr Josef Mengele
and Dr Strangelove,
of course.
We hope you watched Christiane Amanpour on 60 Minutes Sunday February 27, 2005 about battle stress and drugging the troops.
Christiane Amanpour is now another drugging the troops whistleblower.

Maybe Johnny had an altered cognitive state when he got wasted?

You may be the most important whistleblower in DOD history.
The lawyers may make millions.

You may be my most visible grad student.
Blowing the whistle on drugging the troops may, and should, bring scrutiny.
http://7cities.net/users/billp/banderet/banderet.htm
You did not answer my email question.
But your powerpoint foils did answer the question.
Think of retirement.
Think of leaning portugese and spanish.
Think of moving to Paraguay or Brazil.
And study Mengele survival technigues!
best

Sadly, I'm not so easily shocked any more, and Canadians have our share of unpleasant realities. ...Yes, the surprises are fewer and fewer these days
Banderet has done an excellent job blowing the whistle on those involved in drugging troops!
While industrial/experimental psychologists can some measure motor and cognitive effects of drugging, sometimes side effects can prove unpredictable. So if the troops in Iraq are doing weird things, there may be a good reason!
Washington State is in the liquor business with state owned stores.
Part of the profits go to alcohol research. We were funded in the psychology department at Washington State University to do alcohol related vision research.
Banderet was lead research assistant as well as Payne's TA and lab assitant in an undergraduate sensory psychology course.
So when Banderet finished his Ph.D., the USARIEM [the old Army Quartermaster's lab in Natick] seemed to be ideal place for Banderet to work.
Since Banderet has been at USARIEM for 35 years, this appeared to be a good idea. But Banderet may be retiring soon.
Strangelove: I would not rule out the chance to preserve a nucleus of human specimens. It would be quite easy...heh, heh...(He rolls his wheelchair forward into the light) at the bottom of ah...some of our deeper mineshafts. Radioactivity would never penetrate a mine some thousands of feet deep, and in a matter of weeks, sufficient improvements in drilling space could easily be provided.
President: How long would you have to stay down there?
Strangelove: ...I would think that uh, possibly uh...one hundred years...It would not be difficult Mein Fuehrer! Nuclear reactors could, heh...I'm sorry, Mr. President. Nuclear reactors could provide power almost indefinitely. Greenhouses could maintain plant life. Animals could be bred and slaughtered. A quick survey would have to be made of all the available mine sites in the country, but I would guess that dwelling space for several hundred thousands of our people could easily be provided.
President: Well, I, I would hate to have to decide...who stays up and...who goes down.
Strangelove: Well, that would not be necessary, Mr. President. It could easily be accomplished with a computer. And a computer could be set and programmed to accept factors from youth, health, sexual fertility, intelligence, and a cross-section of necessary skills. Of course, it would be absolutely vital that our top government and military men be included to foster and impart the required principles of leadership and tradition.Banderet badly needs Musashi lessons.
Banderet worked for the feds [DOD] for 35 years! Some, Banderet included, are terrified by the power of Internet.
Drug the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan? Our government?
What Is Ketamine?
Ketamine, or ketamine hydrochloride, is a non-barbiturate, rapid-acting disassociative anesthetic used on both animals and humans; it also has been used in human medicine for pediatric burn cases and dentistry, and in experimental psychotherapy. It is being abused by an increasing number of young people as a "club drug," and is often distributed at "raves" and parties.
Montelukast is used to prevent asthma symptoms. It works by blocking the action of substances that cause inflammation, fluid retention, mucous secretion, and constriction in your lungs.
Maybe the government has a reason for wanting to calm down the troops?Payne finally got an email response from Banderet.
But not to payne's question!Payne previously told Banderet that he thought that Banderet had been working for the government too long.
Banderet's response confirmed this opinion!
We may, or may not, post the response. The Queeg balls were clicking.Banderet has been at USARIEM for 35 years.
Payne was into military industrial and experimental psychology [employee at Navy Personnel Research Activity - Navy Training Research Laboratory and Navy Electronics Laboratory] and, therefore, has some knowledge of what was going on at the various military research labs.
Let's start a page
Drugging the troops?
Washington State University psychology department chairman James H Elder [ Ph.D., Yale, 1933] gave Payne instructions
1933
Elder, James H.
Hilgard, Josephine R.
Lindley, Stanley B
Shipley, Walter C.
Spence, Kenneth W.to get Banderet out with a Ph.D. ... or out.
Banderet simply loved graduate school.
During the 1980s the Army experimented giving tranquilizers to its soldiers to relieve battlefield anxiety.
Payne asked Banderet about a month ago if the Army was drugging soldiers in Iraq.
Banderet replied, "No."
Payne then sent Banderet an email saying, "You wouldn't lie to me? Would you?"
No response ... yet.
So this page was posted. And got this response!
Banderet aka Dr Strangelove goes bananas.

Subject: Materials on Your Website?
Bill, I was more than a little surprised to get your e-mail; I was even more surprised to find some of my Institute materials on your website. Please note that I thought carefully and deliberately before I sent those materials to you. I sent them to you and assumed that you would be professional and discrete with your discussion and distribution of them. Rest assured if I thought they would end up on one of your websites, you would have never seen them.Banderet may have sent the foils to be encouraged to enter retirement. Like Banderet needed encouragement to leave graduate school.
Bill is pleased to help in both situations.
We're speculating that Banderet's [subconscious?] retirement strategy will work!
I am asking you to remove any materials from your website pertaining to me tomorrow. It should not surprise you that such internet associations with you are probably not in my best professional interests. You are currently in litigation with the U.S. Government, were previously dismissed by them from a Federal job, and I am appalled by your superficial website journalism, innuendo, and wrong doing by implication, e.g., the military has to perform in all kinds of stressful situations--military operations in urban terrain (MOUT) is one of the worst. You asked my about use of drugs (during operations) in the Army; I gave you my understanding and qualified it with "stimulants are sometimes given to pilots and personnel on extended missions (See 2004 review in Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine--I was a scientific reviewer for that manuscript)." My reply to you--a responsible and defensible answer, remains my answer.
I have asked you above to remove any of my Institute materials from your website. Also, do NOT include them on any future websites of yours. Our linking up and communicating after 15 years was a significant, welcome, and meaningful event to me. However, if you can not respect my professional privacy and integrity, I will cease any further relationship with you immediately.
L. Banderet
P. S. I continue to respect you greatly as a mentor in my younger years. This power of Internet!
Banderet sent a cd with some power point presentations.
Former convicted felon judge W John Brennan may have become stressed-out?
Maybe two prima facie case paid for 12 person jury trial lawsuits [Exhibit K and Exhibit L] for breach of contract contributed to Brennan's revealing his about 20 year old addiction?
Let's hope judge Bosson get matter resolved before they get worse.
Look below! Drugging the troops!
What other drugs is the Army testing?
Banderet and Macia divorced.
Settlement time yet?
