Grid charging battries is compared to solar cell charging.

Voltage and current measurement to a battery from a grid charger requires method of measuring both.

Dummy AA profile battery with contacts on + and - sides a dieletric body required.

Kester #2331-ZX solder flux used.

Straw from McDonald's filled at both ends with clear Permatex RTV sealant.

Swamp cooler 1/4 inch tube

Small as possible to solder lead onto for heat reasons.

Toothpicks used to hold copper tubes upright for soldering

Solder blobs placed on tubes befor attaching leads.

Locking tweezers used to hold lead against tube for soldering.

Good mechanical attachment before soldering is recommended. But rule can be broken.

Two T44 pins placed on static mat. First lead solder. Bill could not find second T44 pin. So another was used. Second T44 pin located with above 7X scan. :)

Straw with RTV too flexible.

Chargiing 220 mAh NiMH externally.
