Power output of USB is supposed to be 500 mA ay nominal 5 V..

Belkin 7 port USB 2.0 hub transformer

output of 2.5 A at 5 V.

7 * .5 A = 3.5 A draw if all 7 ports are supplying maximum current.

Hmm.

USB power supples measured.

Notes

Belkin 7 port poweredF4U018 USB 2.0 work great when they work.

Five of six are plugged into five of our computers.

Six? One is kept in reserve in case any of the five quit working.

Belkin has been great about honoring its lifetime warrranty in the past.

RMA procedure was to log on to the Belkin returns website, filling our address and project form, get a RMA number at which time a mailing label could be printed in the past.

But this has changed.

Listen to the nonsense I had to go through to try to get an RMA number.

Conversation 1. Receipt request.

Case number.

Conversation 2.

Conversation 3. Bounced email forwarded.
