NO ONE GOT SHOT SUNDAY FEBRUARY 26,
2006!
Payne's amazed.
To qualify shooter had to shoot 5 trials from
holster draw of 3 shots, two to the chest and one to either the head or groin,
at 3 yards. Then shoot 5 trials with 2 shots each from holster draw at 7 yards
to the chest.
Goal is to stop the action with two shots.
If
this doesn't work, then try two more. Then two more to a different part of the
body.
Opposition may be wearing body armor.
Payne chose groin shots.
And passed.
Seventeen students with three instructors
shot hundreds, thousands total actually, of rounds of ammo from about 09:30 to
about 16:00.
Instructors caused students autos to malfunction in several
ways [stove pipe, double feed] to make sure that students could correct
problems.
Instructor reports that
DOJ specifies that 10 rounds that misfire in each 1,000 lot
of ammo is acceptable.
