DSO Nano V3 with 10X probe unstable.

Sensitive to movement.

1 kH. 250mV/division

10X probe.

Overshoot and undershoot! 50+%? :)

Slow signals should not cause overshoot/undershoot problems?

No probe video with about 30 year old expensive Soar digital multimeter video.

10X and 1X probe setting video.

Probe ground attached or detacted makes no difference.

Inverter and wall receptical/plug breakout cable complete.

'receptical/plug'?

Sexist Hallmark labels connectors 'male/female'

Poltically incorrect?

No white and green 22 gauge wires.

So yellow is neutral and blue is ground.

T44 pin soldered to neutral.

Shrink tube used to make attractive mini-banana to cable mating.

Probe tested before heat applied for shrink fit.

Jake fixed probe problem.

1 X probe voltage is 9.25V.

10X is .920V.

Video of probe test.

Video of Belkin USB 2.0 causing boot problem with Windows 7 Lenovo G560 running XP boot problem.

Wavetek red digital mulitmeter used to check probe with above 9V battery at Hallmark.

Cost estimated to be slightly over $100.

Two free Harbor Freight meters work well too.

Hello Jake,

Wires removed.

Buttons clip terminating in T44 pins attached to battery.

Wires reattached.

Checked black short ground lead from probe and well as connector ground.

Resistance still varies greatly.

Grounding problem?

Work on NEXTera Freedom of Information Act request for data from the New Mexico Wind Energy Center caused delay in addressing probe issue.

Hello Jake,

Connector to 1X 10X probe problem discovered.

1X probe setting reads battery voltage more or less okay.
Test of probe on arrival from China.

Probe works - custom connecter video.

HooToo probe link.
But on 10X setting the voltage reading is usually not about .9V but instead varies greatly.

Flexing the connector appears to cause problem.

Video 3.

Any ideas about what is wrong?

Cable can be cut to test probe without connector at worst.

I'll bring the probe in to Hallmark.

regards,
bill
