Toshiba L505D draws about 33W idle.

Lenovo G560 about 23W.

G580 about 13W.

N500 dual core T3400 24W. Increased to 28W hen screen saver activated.

Tosshiba A105 19W.

All running XP.

G580 dropped to 11W running Windows 8.

Lenovo Z580 series come in core i3, 5, and 7.

Ivy bridge technology used in Z580 opposed to Sandy bridge used in G580.
