Is PNM refrigerator program an honest attempt to save electricity or a scam by the refrigerator industry to sell new refrigerators?

Extended warranty applications keep arriving.

If it has a micro in it, it can be programmed to fail once a warranty has expired!

The reactor's closure leaves only 18 of Japan's 54 nuclear plants producing electricity, worsening power supply problems following March's earthquake and tsunami.

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for visiting the Whirlpool website. I apologize for the delay in my response.

The coverage you purchased through the store is a dealer warranty. Whirlpool Extended Service Plans does not keep records of nor offer repair assistance under these warranties as this is not the same coverage. We are not aware that your registered product is already covered when we send out these offers. I have updated our records and the offers should begin to cease.

Thank you,

Jenny

Hello Greg,

Thanks for response.

You wrote, 'Heat rate is the amount of Btu's of fossil fuel burned to generate kWh's of electricity. Since CSPs don't typically burn any fossil fuel (unless they have supplemental firing), the term heat rate does not apply to CSPs.'

Then why does Geothermal have a Heat Rate of 29,050 BTU/kWh?

regards,

bill
